Tweeting during your ceremony

Is it possible that you can be to addicted to social media? Recently there was a couple who was so connected into the social scene, that they updated their facebook and twitter page while they were getting married. There is a time and place for everything, but the ceremony isn't a place for letting the whole world know during the moment.

according to iamstaggered.com, in an interview with the couple, they stated: "My wife and I are very technology centric, and have been Facebooking and Twittering a lot to keep in touch with our very large families scattered across the USA. In fact, when we got engaged, we changed our Facebook statuses and didn’t even call anyone since the word would spread on Facebook far faster than it would have over the phone calling all hundreds of our friends and family. After doing that, we received a lot of laughs, and some minor critisism from family whom were insulted that we couldn’t even pick up the phone to call them. It became a bit of a joke between all of us. So when my wedding came around, I figured it would be funny to pause the wedding to update my Facebook status. No one knew of this plan except the pastor. I then had the Maid of Honor swipe Tracy’s phone and get it to me just before the wedding. Tracy did not know. I pre-typed her message and mine, and had the phones ready to go."

Along with the ceremony, one should avoid updating the whole world during a honeymoon too. there are something that people should be there for, and if they are not, they can find out about the story later.

P.S. you can check out the youtube video of the twitter ceremony here.
